Crowned & Company Beauty was built out of one simple frustration: finding quality wigs, lashes, and beauty products designed with Black women in mind shouldn't require hours of research, trial and error, and wasted money.
Our Story
Like most Black women who've tried to navigate the beauty industry online, we've experienced the disappointment of a wig that looked nothing like the model — who clearly didn't look like us. We've bought lashes that fell apart after one wear. We've spent $30 on press-ons that lasted two days.
We started Crowned & Company to be the resource we wished we'd had. We spend time researching brands, reading real reviews from Black women, and curating what actually works — and we share those picks here so you don't have to do the legwork yourself.
We are a minority woman-owned business. That's not a tagline — it's the foundation of everything we do here. Our selections reflect our lived experience, our aesthetic, and our standards. We know what it means for HD lace to truly blend. We know what "minimal shedding" looks like for textured hair. We know the difference between a wig that photographs well and one that actually holds up in daily life.
What We Do
Crowned & Company Beauty is a curated affiliate marketing site. That means we research and recommend products from trusted retailers — and when you purchase through our links, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This model lets us keep the site free, updated, and honest.

How We Choose What We Feature
Not every brand that asks to be featured gets on this site. Here's our vetting process:
Review volume and recency
We look for brands with substantial, recent review histories — not just an average star rating but the depth of feedback, especially from Black women customers.
Return and customer service policy
We only feature brands with clear, accessible return policies. If a brand makes it hard to return a product that doesn't work, they don't make our list.
Melanin-tested results
We specifically look for reviews and photos from women with deeper complexions. HD lace that only looks good on lighter skin doesn't get our endorsement as a universal pick.
Price-to-value honesty
We note price ranges and flag when a cheaper option genuinely competes with a pricier one. We're not here to upsell you — we're here to help you spend wisely.
Commission rate doesn't drive selection
We sometimes earn less commission on the better product. We feature it anyway. Your trust is worth more to this brand than a higher payout on an inferior pick.
